"Vienna Column Clock"
Austrian enameled porcelain column clock from the end of the 19th century, from the Studio Franz Dorfl. The clock is oblong in shape with a domed top featuring a brass finial leading to multiple classical figures in simulated oval painted miniatures among gilt scrollwork decor. The clock features other classical figures on each column and facet side at the base of the clock. Placed on four clawed feet, the clock seems to be suspended in the center of the structure. Signed under the base with the mark of the beehive of Vienna and the mark of the Studio Franz Dorfl of Vienna, the movement having been manufactured by the famous German watchmaker Lenzkirch.
