Still life with fruit and drapes, oil on wood dimensions, 21 cm x 25 cm, with its very beautiful carved wooden frame, 41 cm x 45 cm, by Francesco Noletti called Il Maltese, Italy early 17th century. Francesco Noletti dit il Maltese, also known as Francesco Fieravino was an Italian painter born in Malta in 1611 and died in Rome where he was active from 1630 until his death in 1654. He worked in Rome under the pontificate of Alexander VII and was patronized by the Knight of Malta Pietro Cesarini.
