Executed on bistre paper, in shimmering colors, a lovely gallant watercolor scene featuring a young couple in a bucolic setting in the style of the 18th century. Young people are sitting in nature near a fountain. The young man, holding a full basket, is tenderly leaning towards his companion leaning against him. Signed lower left. First half of the 20th century. It is dated "November (1926)" in ink on the back. Very nicely enhanced by its magnificent original frame in richly carved, stuccoed and gilded wood. Under glass also of deliciously corrugated origin. The watercolor and its frame form a lovely set! Dimensions: 10 cm x 14.3 cm at sight 19 cm x 23 cm frame Very good condition. Never disassembled. Very nice original colors. The frame has slight superficial slits that do not jeopardize its solidity. A second pendant miniature is also on sale.
