A friend of the painter Numa François Gillet, he discovered and moved to Montigny-sur-Loing, where their daughter Christiane was born, who would also become a painter. He obtained French nationality in 1906. At the Salon des Artistes Français of 1910, he obtained an honorable mention. He died on June 26, 1925 in Montigny-sur-Loing.
