Large Louis XV Cartel (1.42m)
This superb cartel is distinguished first of all by its large size: it measures 1.42m with its console, but also by its so-called Martin varnish finish of very good quality. It is from the Louis XV period (middle of the 18th century), and is entirely original. Its movement, signed "Causart watchmaker of the King following the court" has not undergone any modification, and has its pendulum and its key. It has been revised by a specialist watchmaker, and can therefore be used daily. The cartel has been restored, as well as its decoration in Vernis Martin. It bears the stamp of MARCHAND, an 18th century cabinetmaker, known for supplying cartels to the greatest watchmakers of his time. It is therefore an authentic piece, and in perfect condition that we offer.
