Pewter Cimarre - Bar-sur-aube (champagne), 18th Century

Pewter CIMARRE in the shape of a baluster with a high flared pedestal, a quarter-round goblet and lid with spinning top and tassel thumb, fitted with a fixed handle and a dangling brace with rosaceous fasteners.
Hallmark of François ODELIN received master around 1745: crowned hammer / FO
Control hallmark: C crowned / (BAR SU)R AUBE / 1755.
Height: 26.2 cm.
BAR-SUR-AUBE, Second half of the 18th century

In very good condition and well hallmarked.
This cimarres were intended for serving wine at the table: they are mostly from Champagne, Montier-en-Der, Joinville, Vignory, etc.
