Large Copper Jug - South Of France, 18th Century

Large copper JUG in baluster shape with depressed base, oblique plinth foot, tapered neck and domed lid adorned with radiating moldings. It is equipped with a tubular weir connected to the neck by a retaining tab, a fixed nose and a swinging one.
Height: 41cm.
SOUTH OF FRANCE, late 17th century.

Good condition, the winding on the iron stiffener of the base is however damaged.
