"Robert Henri Fouques (1892 - 1956) - Oil On Panel - The Willows"
Robert Henri Fouques (1892 - 1956) - oil on panel - Les Saules Oil on panel "Les Saules" Signed lower left Visible at the Courcelles Antiquités Gallery, at 97 rue de Courcelles, in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. Born in 1892 in New Caledonia and died in 1956, Roger-Henri Fouques is known for his post-Impressionist work, in a style reminiscent of the end of the 19th century. His scenes are tranquil, his compositions uncluttered, and atmosphere and light bathe his landscapes. Some of his works are very detailed; others are impressionists. Some rooms are monumental, others are small, but nearly all are serene and evocative of the moods of rural France.
