Fragment of a sandstone stele representing the Trinity Ganesh – Shiva – Parvati.
8th - 10th century AD.

The set consists of 3 niches where the deities take place.
The central niche hosts a representation of Shiva seated on a high cushion in the lotus position (vajraprayanka), hands in meditation position, two attributes placed at his side. He is decked out in a tall tiara and a Brahmanic cord. He sits in the middle of two columns surmounted by a capital decorated with scrolls, two worshipers placed on each side of the deity pay homage to him, hands joined in anjali mudra.
The niche to its right receives Ganesh, his son, his left hand holding the candy bowl.
The niche placed to her left receives her consort Parvati, represented smaller than her husband. She is represented seated in a relaxed position (ardhaparyanka), holding her attributes and wearing a tiara and a pearl necklace. The right part of the set representing a makara with a raised trunk.
