A spectacular, almost ethereal silhouette. This large peacock sculpture is crafted entirely from natural horn—cut, polished, and assembled—with translucent shades ranging from ivory to deep brown that give the bird a strikingly lifelike presence.
???? Measuring 55 cm in length, this piece stands out distinctly from the smaller horn figurines more commonly found. The body stretches into a highly elegant line: an elongated, upright neck, a small head with a slender beak, a majestic crest, and—above all—an extraordinary succession of feathers extending the silhouette into a long train.
✨ The craftsmanship of the horn is particularly noteworthy. The artisan has utilized the material's natural variations in color and transparency: the body retains smoky grey-brown tones, while the wings transition gradually from near-black brown to translucent ivory. When illuminated, the material reveals veining and nuances impossible to replicate artificially. The wings are composed of multiple horn elements that have been individually cut, curved, and layered. The long tail is also constructed feather by feather, using fine, tapered pieces that lend a sense of dynamic movement to the whole.
