Large pot covered with neo-classical spirit in bronze with 2 patinas, gold and silver, on a square base of breccia marble. Decorated in its center with a frieze depicting a bacchanalia and featuring putti and young fauns, this beautiful, very decorative and refined object has side grips in the shape of ram's heads holding leafy garlands, a classic vocabulary of the Louis XVI style. . The frieze bears the signature of Clodion (Claude Michel dit Clodion, sculptor of the French school 1738/1814). French work dating from the middle of the 19th century and of very good quality of cast iron, chasing, gilding and silvering.
