Exceptional lamp after a large Italian earthenware vase, in the style of Urbino, southern Italy. Our baluster-shaped majolica on a pedestal is decorated with an antique scene, representing an assassination on its main face and a landscape of lakes and mountains on the back. It is embellished with two handles depicting snakes supported by two mascarons. High quality work, entirely hand painted and made at the end of the 19th century.
