Charles-Edouard Armand-Dumaresq (1826-1895) French watercolourist, draftsman, painter and illustrator, mainly of military subjects. "Soldier in a bugle-hooded collar". (Imperial Guard - Zouaves Regiment) Plate lithographed in colors belonging to the very rare suite of 55 plates not put on the market published by Lemercier in Paris in 1858. It is a first-class document for the description of the uniforms of the Imperial Guard of the French army in the second half of the reign of Napoleon lll. It was carried out under the direction of Major General Antoine-Charles-Félix Hecquet (1787-1872) on the orders of the Marshal Minister of War. This lithographed plate, from the collection of Doctor Hutin in Epinal, bears the reference N°13/55.
