Between studies and work, he proved himself with D'Ettore Colla (artist representing Italian abstraction) and began his collaboration with Gio Ponti. After his first exhibition in Rome in 1938, he participated in several editions of artistic events such as the Venice Biennale, the Rome Quadrennial and the Milan Triennial
