Rare and Exceptional Regency Period Chest of Drawers, from the First Half of the 18th Century, Crossbow Shape on the Front, Opening with 3 Drawers in 2 Rows. It is in Violet Wood Marquetry. Very Rich Ornamentation of Gilded and Chiseled Bronzes, such as the Bronze Descents on the Uprights, the Keyholes and the Pull Handles. Our chest of drawers rests on slightly arched feet and fitted with superb closed clogs in gilded bronze. It is topped with its very rare and original Brèche d'Alep Marble, in the shape of a Crossbow following the shape of the Chest of Drawers. The Bronzes, Locks and Marble are entirely Original, which is quite rare. We don't have the key, it must have gotten lost during the 300 years of its existence... It measures 104 cm in length, 58 cm in depth and 84 cm in height. She is in very good condition.
