Mother-of-pearl Sewing Kit Palais Royal Paris, Circa 1820
Sewing kit. Embroidery kit in a pretty fruitwood box. Interior in silk and velvet. The velvet adorned with an embroidered bouquet of flowers. It is complete with its 11 original mother-of-pearl elements and in perfect condition (the mirror was however changed later and the key is missing). The thimble and the hallmark are adorned with the flower in enameled gold traditionally present on the objects offered by the boutiques of the Palais Royal in Paris. The box measures 8,42 inches X 6,06 inches and 3,07 inches high. France, Paris, circa 1820.
