So-called shepherd's gourd in translucent blown glass -
Folk Art glassware from the early 19th century -
Irregular oblong shape, traces of blowing with bubbles, reinforcement at the neck with a strong irregular band, top of the neck slightly ground from origin, trace of the cane of the master glass blower , presence of a protuberance in the shape of a nipple on the ass.
Good condition, note slight traces of use and tiny limescale deposit.
Originally this type of bottle was clissé, wrapped in a weaving of straw to protect them during travel. Interesting and unusual shape.
