Oil on zinc, signature lower left "Fearnley 1834"
Good condition.
He was a pupil of Johan Christian Dahl, father of romantic nationalist painting in the country, and himself became a central figure in this artistic movement. He entered the Copenhagen Academy and was protected by Prince Oscar for whom he painted a view of the city. From 1828 to 1836, he traveled through Europe, then he stayed in England.
