Rare Marble And Bronze Desk Set, Empire Style - 2nd Half Of The Nineteenth

Desk set in sea green or Patricia green marble (from the Aosta Valley in Italy), in gilded bronze and with brown patina, comprising five pieces. The main element is fitted with bronze inkwells underlined with a shaped cord. They contain small glass containers, originally designed to hold the ink. Their lids are chiseled and topped with a pine cone. The center features a rectangular pedestal with a golden eagle. It supports a bronze with brown patina representing an eagle with outstretched wings, resting on a gold-colored rock, and holding in its beak a sphere acting as a mechanical clock. The set rests on circular feet. The mail holder, designed in the same spirit, offers four elements in gradient and at regular intervals, slightly shaped. A chiseled molding of an eagle with outstretched wings adorns the facade. This object rests on four claw feet. The pencil case, rectangular, with a chiseled brass base, is decorated on the top with an eagle with a golden patina landing on an openwork motif of flowers and scrolls. The slightly curved interior makes it easier to hold writing instruments. The brass-based blotting pad is equipped with a large button handle and embellished with chimera motifs. The stamp represents a golden eagle in a waiting position, enclosing a thunderbolt between its claws, on a square base. This office kit, as complete as it is rare, will elegantly dress up your desk. ******** Period: 2nd half of the 19th century Excellent condition. Full movement. Without guarantee of operation.
