Small First Empire period secretary desk in mahogany and mahogany veneer. Gilt bronze mounts. Opening with a drop-front fitted with a refinished black Moroccan-style inset. Revealing a compartment of seven drawers: a large drawer in the upper section within the molding, and three drawers in the lower section. Rests on black-stained claw feet at the front and three ball feet at the rear. Double-barrel locks and original working keys. Black marble top. French polished. In very good condition.
