my gallery specializes in Japanese art.
My original training is anthropology (study of lifestyles and culture), I try to convey as much cultural information on the objects I sell.
I don't own a real store, which allows me to make regular trips to Japan and to do restoration work (sword polishing, handle braiding and urushi laquering). I've lived in Japan for several years, where I also practice martial arts (sword, naginata, Japanese bow...), Buddhist pilgrimages and I'm curious to learn and share this culture.
