Large Counter, Trade Furniture, Office, Store Furniture In Blond Oak, Epoque XIX Eme

Important store counter in blond oak from the end of the 19th century. This very beautiful craft piece of furniture is paneled on the front and on the sides, the panels are interspersed with a work of fluted strips ending in small, nicely carved consoles forming sconces under the top. The back of the counter is made up of a central niche allowing it to be used as an office. Presence of 8 drawers adorned with brass handles. The two top drawers have locks (with their respective keys) and work. This piece of furniture was certainly lacquered at one time, indeed tiny small scattered traces of paint are still visible in certain places in the grain of the wood. Our counter must also have served as a support for a display shelf, small traces of old fixings are visible at both ends of the top (see last photo) This piece of furniture is in very good condition, only a few scattered traces of use testify to its age and the use that has been made of it (in particular traces of ink etc... in one of the drawers). Magnificent blond oak, superb patina.
