Beautiful representation of a bustling fishing port in Brittany scene. Lithograph numbered 191/200 and signed in the margin Pierre-Eugène Clairin. Presented under glass with a password everywhere and coaching golden wand. Very good condition, ready to hang. Dimensions 33x46 cm view Dimensions with frame 50x61,5 cm Pierre-Eugène Clairin, 1897-1980. He entered the studio of Paul Ranson Cerusier the academy. He meets Maurice Denis and Edouard Vuillard who introduced him to engraving and lithography. He exhibits his paintings of Pont-Aven at the Galerie Druet. He signed a contract with the Bernheim Gallery which exhibits in New York. Member of the Academy of Fine Arts, president of the Society of French painters engravers, he was the last artist to have worked in the studio of Paul Gauguin Leveze-Pont-Aven. Paul Cerusier conidérait him as his spiritual successor.
