Three-quarter portrait of Baron Ambroise-Francois Thomas du Fossé de Bosmelet * attributed to Jean Bonvoisin **. The Baron is dressed in his royal court auditorium dress, one will notice on this subject the square of ermine on his wrist. He wears a long and elegant white slightly pleated flap corresponding to his rank of lawyer and holds a rolled document in his left hand. Original gilt wood frame in Louis XVI Style adorned with a frieze of pearls, frame and original canvas. Provenance: Château de Bosmelet (Seine Maritime) * Ambroise-Thomas François du Fossé de Bosmelet born in Paris in 1789 died in Tréport in 1854, Baron, Knight, Lawyer and Auditor at the Royal Court of Rouen.
