Polylobed lacquer box. Decoration : woman character, flowers, cranes, landscape with mother-of-pearl inlays, burgau and gilding. Red lacquered interior.
Japan Meiji period (1868-1912).
Good condition with some wear and restoration at the back, on the side (see photo).
Pearl keyhole entry. No key.
