Mahogany Heat Shield

Lovely heat shield in mahogany and N III brass fillets with flap. The piece of fabric is stretched on a removable frame up and down and the shelf is held by 2 bronze S and can be hanging or horizontal to support a glass, a vase or other trinket. This small piece of furniture can be placed in front of a fireplace but also between 2 armchairs to put a glass, a small lamp. It is in good condition.. There must have been a small gilded bronze on the upper part (traces), but this lack in no way detracts from the beauty of this small piece of furniture easy to place. XIXth period
