Pair Of Decorative Panels, XVIIth With A Rooster And Glove Pattern (h 38 Cm) flag

Object description :

"Pair Of Decorative Panels, XVIIth With A Rooster And Glove Pattern (h 38 Cm)"
This pair of 17th century panels comes from the decoration of a coffered ceiling.
These elements, sculpted, probably come from a rich house and their illustration could be the arms of the owners.
They have their original polychromy with dark colors highlighted by a golden frame along the length.
The motifs, a rooster for one and a gloved hand for the other, are highlighted by their pronounced relief on the one hand and by the posterior cornice and base on the other.
In good condition with the lacks and wear of time, these two pieces are very decorative.
