"Louis XV Period Chandelier With Crowned In Bronze And Crystal"
Crowned C chandelier with six gilt bronze lights, interspersed with six daggers, cut crystal plates and the barrel elements are in molded glass. All the bronzes are fappé of the crowned C which indicates a manufacture between 1745 and 1749. Louis XV period 18th century. All the pendants, glass and crystal elements are original, 6 plates have chips and tiny chips on the other, which is normal for the time of this chandelier and quite acceptable because they are the original ones. The original mercury gilding shows strong wear due to an old poorly cleaned cleaning. Very nice proportions. Height 102 cm diameter 71 cm.
