Indo Eur XVII / XVIIIth Statue With Sulphide Eyes

Nice wooden carved religious statue depicting a holy figure, an apostle wearing a cape and presenting the Bible.
Very expressive face and nice drapery sculpture quality.

Colonial origin, certainly european for India or South America, these statues shas benne used like support for population 's evangelization for territories discovered by the European travelers, dealers and and Jesuits.

Sculpture in fir (white wood), certainly painted and colored.
Condition: an originally reported hand is missing, and 2 small triangular entures/notches on front octagonal base cut corners,please check photos, Other in perfect condition.
The face is originally reported, which permit to inlay the glass eyes from the back.
