Painter, engraver, illustrator J-G Daragnès obtained the official title of "Painter of the Navy" in 1933.
Passionate about the sea and travelling, he participated in the exhibition "masterpieces of contemporary illustrators" in Toulon in 1957 alongside Bernard Buffet, Michel Ciry, P-Y. Tremois, Minaux, ...
An exhibition was dedicated to him at the Museum of Sens in 2007.
