very beautiful medal representing two hares superbly handled by the animal sculptor art deco cartier thomas (born in 1879 in Marseille), a student of animal sculptor george gardet. He exhibited at the Salon des paris french artists he won several awards, including a gold medal in 1927. This medal is a very large quality gilt bronze.
