This very beautiful set comes from the workshops of the house Raingo et frères.
The four brothers, sons of the founder Zacharie, stood out for the excellence of their creations at the universal exhibitions of the mid-19th century.
These creations can be found in several museums around the world.
The particularity of this clock using Renaissance and Antique architectural decorative vocabulary is the delicacy of its bas-relief decoration enhanced by the brown patina, very much in the spirit of Valadier.
The clock is in the form of a mansard (Louvre) with a broken pediment.
The candelabras have a pilaster shaft (Blois), an Ionic capital, a sloped base decorated with grotesques (Urfé), the four stepped sconces support the girandole binet on a sphere.
