Portrait of Marie Caroline de BOURBON –SICILES, Duchesse de BERRY (1798-1870) wife of Charles Ferdinand d'ARTOIS Duke of BERRY second son by CHARLES X (King of France). The signed portrait (identified) was made according to the painting by Robert LEFEVRE (1755-1830) which he made in 1826 and which is at the Museum of Decorative Art in Rouen. The XIXth miniature is finely painted on ivory, of oval shape surrounded by gilded brass, is in a frame made of mosaic of fine ivory plates. In good house condition.
