Rare and large old statue in black lacquered bronze and gold representing Buddha ascetic. This work was made in Thailand in the 19th century. She represents Buddha seated in padmasana, hands in dyanamudra, emaciated face, prominent sides and visible veins, dressed in a simple dhoti. Height: 96 cm
