A Statue Of Buddha Amida. flag

Object description :

"A Statue Of Buddha Amida."
A lacquered and gilded wooden sculpture of Amida Nyorai (Amitabha Buddha) standing on a lotus on an architectural base, a mandorla decorated with cloud motifs is placed behind, with closed eyes and a rather protruding belly. He is wearing an elegant pleated monastic robe. He is doing the vitarka-mudrā, gesture of argumentation and explanation of the Law. The ushnisha-pearl and the third eye between the eyebrows (byakugo), which represent together the spiritual elevated state of Buddha, are both made of crystal. The buddha is surranded by two praying figures.
