Andries Vermeulen, Dutch painter born in Dordrecht in 1763 and died in Amsterdam in 1814. Scene of the joys of winter Oil on canvas, old re-interfacing Signed lower right 40 x 49 cm Excellent state of conservation Andries Vermeulen was pupil of his father, Cornelis Vermeulen. He was first and foremost a landscape painter. He worked for a while in Amsterdam where he died. He is known for his landscapes and engravings. His pupils were Leendert de Koningh and Arnoldus van Well.
