Painting, oil on canvas, presenting a halt in front of the hotel of the golden lion in snowy weather: hotelier in front of his open door discussing with the driver of a horse cart; village with steeple in the background; obscured sun. Signed lower right Théodore LEVIGNE. Theodore Levigne, French painter born November 17, 1848 in Noirétable and died November 11, 1912; he joined the National School of Fine Arts of Lyon from 1860 to 1862. Dimensions without frame: H. 54 cm; L. 73 cm.
