"Kitan Liao Mask"
Our mask is a rather rare example of a funeral mask of a warrior of the Liao dynasty and lies between the X and the XII century. It consists of an alloy with a high silver content, hence its silvery and unique appearance. On one of the photographs, we guess a second skin, now crusty but with a magnifying glass reveals the texture of a fabric since we appear the deceased mask and then a veil. Such works circulate little to the extent that the Chinese people consider this funeral material as sacred and may lead to reprisals of ancestors.
