"Important Dutch Chandelier In Gilt Bronze"
spectacular Dutch chandelier in gilt bronze with 16 sconces in two levels. It is topped by a deity riding an eagle and holding a torch in his hand. On the upper level, eight sconces are enclosed on a disc, alternating with eight pearl-pistil daisies, also enclosed. A bird's head completes the winding of the daisies. The lower level is lined with eight other larger sconces in scrolls decorated with spikes and a pearl pistil daisy, always alternating with eight pearl pistil daisies and a bird's head at the end of the winding. All equally landlocked. Punches struck from 1 to 8 impacts on the discs make it possible to locate the departures of each arm of light and each daisy. A huge ball comes to finish this chandelier. Probably electrified at the end of the 20th century. The lighting works. Good used condition.
