This Mountain Landscape is remarkable for its strong colors, served by the contrasting light of the rising Sun on the Arlberg. This Lvoff painter, some of whose works have been noticed on the Parisian market, is certainly not, (as attributed), Piotr Ivanovich Lvoff 1882-1944, who has never set foot in Europe. As indicated by the inscription on the back of our painting , here it is Georges Alexandrovich Lvoff, probably the one who died in 1957 and was buried in the Russian cemetery of Sainte-Genevieve des Bois - and more hypothetically, the one born in 1879 and owner of the Neft company at the beginning of the 20th century
