A miniature gold mounted bug bear coconut flask pendant.

French, late 18th century.

Measures 4 x 2cm.

The stopper, chain and pendant bail made in high carat gold and set with ruby eyes. The flask is made of a carved miniature coconut profusely carved with fleur-de-lys and a cartouche carved with the initials “JS”.
