BRICE Roland (1911-1989)
Sculptor-ceramist, former pupil of Fernand Léger, he became his official ceramist from 1949. In his studio in Biot, he worked on his own creations in which we find the painter's imprint – primary colours, black line, characters with rounded curves… Brice is also attached to free forms and combines the useful and the beautiful through his vases, dishes and plates. He was a fervent supporter of art in the city and of polychromy, a vital dimension for human beings.
