Imposing Ceramic by Marcel Renard signed and titled "Le Danseur au Tambourin" It is from the Art Deco period. Typical Art Deco work Superb and Imposing Patinated and slightly tinted ceramic by the artist Marcel Renard, almost unique piece called "Dancer with a tambourine". It was published in Boulogne sur Seine by André Fau who was previously associated with Marcel Guillard. Marcel Renard was born in Lyon in 1893 and died in Paris in 1974. Coming from a family of sculptors, he studied fine arts in Lyon then Paris. gold medalist in 1925 at the Paris exhibition, his works are exhibited in museums: Palais des Arts in Lille, Lyon, Victoria and Albert Museum in London, Ghent and Stockholm. This imposing ceramic weighs about 8.5 kg, it measures 56 cm long by 45 cm high and 19 cm at the widest point. Fairly rare piece....
