Beautiful "Mascaron" fountain head in finely carved white marble depicting the expressive face of a young woman wearing feathers held in place by a wide headband. The base of the neck disappears into the draped folds of the garment. French work (possibly southern, region of Aix en Provence) of quality and beautiful proportions, from the 18th century.
