Very interesting late 19th/early 20th century work depicting a market scene in Brittany. This is an oil on canvas, unsigned, measuring 30.5 x 38 cm. The painting has never been cleaned or restored. I did not find a signature but, given the style and the frame, it is probably a foreign artist (American, English, Australian,?) who lived and worked in Brittany. The work is of high quality.
