This painting The Two Sisters is the work of the painter Joan-Carles ROCA SANS, produced in 1978.
In those years when abstraction and conceptual art dominated the artistic scene, the young painter Roca Sans (Barcelona, ​​1946) followed his instincts and swam against the current by painting landscapes and portraits with a new look. 
The paintings of this period, already all with a strong personality, prefigure what will be his artistic creation.
During his first exhibition in France (1977), the artist met the daughters of the curator. They would become the subject of his painting the following year.
This oil on canvas is in very good condition, signed lower right.
