Saint Esprit De Brioude Cross, 19th Century

The cross of the Holy Spirit of Brioude, also called the cross of Brioude, is similar to the cross of the Holy Spirit of Auvergne, but it is distinguished by its wings, which are often striped. It dates from the 19th century.

It is made of 18K gold (eagle's head) and garnets set in a closed setting. It is worn on a forçat chain.

It is in perfect condition. The teardrops are complete and not dented.

The colour of the garnets is red, red-bordeaux. No chip is noted.

I wear very easily this Holy Spirit cross whatever my outfit. It is a jewel of character and softness at the same time.
Its atypical shape does not systematically reveal its religious character.
