Exceptional pair of ceremonial armchairs with a high rectangular backrest. Two large arms finely carved with flowers and acanthus leaves end in a butt. Square section baluster base, recessed and sculpted with shells and leaves. Seats of a very good quality of sculpture inspired by royal models. Velvet in very good condition, upholsterer to be restored. Solid beech wood. Paris, mid-nineteenth century.
