"Orientalist Watercolor By François Hippolyte Lalaisse"
Watercolor representing a young oriental woman, finely executed by Hippolyte Lalaisse (1812 1884), painter, watercolourist, engraver, professor at the Ecole Polytechnique from 1839 to 1877. He was made a Knight of the Legion of Honor in 1875. Many of his works are present in several museums. Watercolor in good condition, halo on the Marie-Louise (not on the watercolor paper). Signature lower left Posterior gilt frame. Watercolor dimensions 31 cm x 21 cm Frame dimensions 32 cm x 44 cm
