Slope Desk Louis XV Period
Sloping desk curved on all sides in kingwood veneer and inlaid boxwood with herringbone pattern and flowering branches in end grain wood on the flap. This desk opens with a flap lined with a gilded bronze frieze revealing compartments and drawers and two drawers in front. It rests on arched feet. Stamped by IC SAUNIER (Jean - Charles SAUNIER) Master in 1743. Louis XV period, 18th century
